Yay!! Today I got to have lunch with my very talented fellow artist friend Mary Layton, aka rhiamon!!

(I have promised her that we will do it all again, without the kiddies, someday ~ I think the dark side of the Moon has taken posession of my kids... let's hope it's not the Dark Side of The Force, or something more permanent like that!! LOL!!! I just have to keep telling Owen... "use your powers for Good, use your powers for good...")

It's always such a *delight* to see a fellow artist's work in person, isn't it? Sigh - Mary is working on a new project, of which I got to see the beginnings of.... BEAUTIFUL!!! Just beautiful!!! I got to show off some of my drawings and art icon dolls as well :-D

I was bummed to find that the digi-pix I snapped at arms length of us came out fuzzy... but anyway! Doesn't Mary have the CUTEST smile?


Owen was sweet, tho - he brought her one of his potted bulbs that he's been selling at the Hillsborough Last Friday Events... awww! "This is for you, Mary" (and it was even his very own idea! How sweet is that?)

After we left Mary's, the kids and I bought a pile of scrapbooking goodies at the Hobby Lobby "1/2 off scrapbooking stuff" sale - yippee!! I've been scrapbooking - it's so much fun! But I feel a little silly sometimes, thinking - hey - I could DRAW that, why am I using mass-market art? Welllll... convenience, and some of it (much of it) is just *so*darn*cute*!
